A Chicago native who came to Utah for school, Sammy Lund studied psychology, human development, and family studies, not as a detour from design, but as the foundation of it. What started as a way to make a living in graduate school quietly revealed itself to be a calling.
At 27, she turned that into Lund Haus Studio, built from the ground up on a single belief: the spaces we live in are extensions of who we are, and truly transforming a space means understanding the life being lived inside it first.
Sammy's design philosophy is rooted in functional luxury living, the belief that luxury doesn't require perfection or restraint, it requires intention. The spaces she creates are elevated and deeply personal, full of character and built to function beautifully for real life. Whether she's designing a primary residence, a vacation retreat, or a commercial space that needs to feel as considered as it looks, her approach never wavers: no templates, no trends, no spaces that feel like they belong to someone else.
Eight years in, what began as one woman's conviction has grown into a full-service interior design and architecture firm with a team built alongside the people she loves most, her husband and her mother. Lund Haus now serves clients across Salt Lake City, Park City, California, Texas, Arizona, Cape Cod, Chicago, and beyond, taking on residential and commercial projects for clients who want more than beautiful. They want spaces that are unmistakably, unapologetically them.

As COO of Lund Haus Studio, Colby Lund is the systems thinker and problem solver behind the scenes. He oversees operations, financials, vendor relationships, and internal workflows — making sure the business runs efficiently so the creative team can focus on delivering exceptional design.
With a background as a licensed general contractor and a lifetime of experience in the construction industry, Colby brings a rare level of expertise to his role. While he no longer builds for clients directly, his knowledge of the construction process is essential to the Lund Haus approach. He acts as the translator between creative vision and real-world execution — helping ensure each project is not only beautiful, but buildable, on time, and on budget.
Known for his calm presence, sharp thinking, and ability to connect with anyone, Colby is the quiet force that keeps everything moving forward. When he's not managing the backend of the business, you’ll find him out on the golf course, mountain biking, fishing, or relaxing at home with Sam and their two dogs.
Sandee Zahn has never done anything halfway. A Los Angeles native who has lived boldly across continents and careers: flight attendant, aerobics instructor in Paris, NFL cheerleader, professional modeling agent for Elite Models, jewelry designer, she has spent a lifetime curating beauty in every form it takes.
That instinct for the extraordinary is precisely what she brings to Lund Haus Studio.
Interior design was a natural evolution for someone who has always moved through the world with a curator's eye. Sandee's work as a fine art curator sharpened her ability to see space, composition, and feeling all at once, and translating that sensibility into the homes and lives of real people became her next great calling. As VP of Interior Design + Projects, she oversees the creative and operational heart of our work, guiding projects from concept through completion with a depth of aesthetic fluency that simply cannot be taught.
Her background is rare: equal parts cultural immersion, precision, and real-world grit. She raised her family between the energy of Chicago and the warmth of LA, and as the mother of our founder, Sammy, and grandmother to Palmer, she isn't just part of the Lund Haus story. In many ways, she is where it began. That duality of grounded warmth and refined sophistication is woven into every space she touches.
